SemBioSys' strong and growing intellectual property portfolio ensures our worldwide exclusivity to commercialize our technology, providing added value to stakeholders and sustainable competitive advantages to our partners. Our intellectual property strategy has two primary characteristics.

1. We aggressively seek to augment our existing patent portfolio with new patent applications that further strengthen our proprietary position for our oilbody-oleosin technology platform.
2. We obtain new patent protection around each of the products that we are able to produce successfully in plants. This protection includes composition of matter claims to plants expressing the products and methods of manufacturing the products in plants.
